Trauma Center
Our team of experts has extensive experience in providing the highest level of care to trauma patients with a wide range of needs. We treat every patient like we would our own family because we know the care we provide could mean the difference between life and death. We are the only adult and pediatric Level 1 trauma center in Middle Tennessee. Annually, we care for more than 8,000 people and treat more than 4,800 acute (life-threatening) trauma patients from Middle Tennessee and from surrounding areas across the Southeast.

- Comprehensive care
We offer care at several levels of intensity to meet patients’ needs. Our center includes a burn unit, an intensive care unit and a stepdown unit that provides care to patients who have improved but still need significant nursing care. We also have the unique opportunity to allow patients to remain within the Vanderbilt system from the time of injury through rehabilitation.
