Why Choose Cochlear Implant Program at Vanderbilt
- Knowledge and experience
Our team performs more than 300 cochlear implant procedures each year. And our research continues to improve cochlear implant technology and the way we serve our patients.
- Team approach
Cochlear implant surgeons, audiologists, speech-language pathologists and other professionals collaborate to provide the best care. From evaluation and surgery to recovery and therapy, the goal is to provide personalized care that addresses your unique needs.
- Coordinated care
Our providers work closely with experts in other medical disciplines to create a care plan. We also work with your primary care doctor to review records and coordinate any advanced care you may need. Our coordinator will communicate with you to guide you every step of the way.
- Bundled payment
If you are 18 years or older and enrolled in an employer-sponsored health plan, you are eligible to participate in the MyHearingHealth bundle. MyHearingHealth provides patients with a high-touch care experience and an enhanced focus on convenience and communication. All of the services needed for a successful cochlear implant procedure and recovery are “bundled” together, and patients experience low to no out-of-pocket costs depending on their employer’s health care coverage. Visit MyHearingHealthBundle.org and connect with a patient navigator to get started.
