Psychiatric Assessment Service
Our Psychiatric Assessment Service provides care for patients with immediate behavioral health care needs. We offer immediate help in situations including suicide attempt/thoughts of suicide, depression, anxiety, unusual or unrealistic thinking, physical and/or sexual abuse. and drug or alcohol abuse. We accept calls for assessment any time of day or night.
We offer adult walk-in crisis care at the Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital at the hours below. We also accept patients through the adult and pediatric emergency rooms during all other hours and coordinate referrals from other agencies and programs. Our specialized team works together to ensure you receive comprehensive, personalized care.

- Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.
- Weekends and Holidays: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
