Cancer support services
Supporting you through cancer and beyond
We understand that you are more than your illness. At Vanderbilt-Ingram, we offer support services to help you and your family navigate your care, as well as resources to help you feel better, physically and emotionally during your treatment and beyond.
Navigating your care
Patient navigators: Our navigators can help you coordinate many needs, whether medical or practical. A patient navigator can help you find lodging, plan your finances and insurance coverage, schedule treatments, surgeries and follow-up visits, arrange transportation and childcare, and secure psychological services as needed.
Lodging assistance: If you need to travel for care, Vanderbilt-Ingram has a lodging coordinator who can help you find reduced rates at hotels and other accommodations near our facility. Call our lodging coordinator at (615) 322-2278, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Financial counseling: If you have questions or concerns about insurance billing, patient balances, or payments, our financial counselors can help you fill out applications for various community and government-sponsored programs and describe our financial assistance policies and payment plan options. Call our financial counselors at (615) 322-5988 or (615) 322-8154.
Patient and Family Resource Center provides cancer patients and their families with pamphlets, books and videos on all types of cancers, cancer treatments and options. Cancer patients and families may check out materials from the lending library and a computer is available for online research. The center is located on the 1st floor of The Vanderbilt Clinic and open from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday–Friday. Call (615) 322-9799 for more information.
