Musculoskeletal ultrasound
Musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound is an imaging technology used to help diagnose and treat rheumatologic conditions, including gout, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and other inflammatory conditions.
MSK ultrasound uses sound waves to create images of bones and soft tissues. The process is fast, non-invasive and radiation-free, which can lead to a quicker and more accurate diagnosis of inflammatory joint conditions. The technology can also help guide therapeutic joint injections with better accuracy and less pain than standard injection techniques.
