MyOncologyHealth FAQs

What is the MyOncologyHealth program?

MyOncologyHealth is designed to relieve some of the burden and uncertainty of a cancer diagnosis by offering education and expert support with a registered nurse for your journey. You’ll receive access to personalized educational resources as well as a dedicated nurse navigator to guide you through the process.

Traditional insurance coverage applies to MyOncologyHealth.

Who is eligible?

To confirm your eligibility for the bundle, please check with your employer or start conversation in the Chat box below.

What services are included in the bundle?

The following services, aimed at boosting your peace of mind and guiding you through the process, are available for the duration of your treatment:

  • A dedicated oncology nurse navigator to help with what to expect as well as ongoing questions and clinical concerns. The oncology nurse navigator will also work with other members of the VICC staff to help you navigate the health system as it relates to your cancer diagnosis.
  • Cancer-related clinical support, such as scheduling assistance and record coordination
  • Enhanced education support on such topics as diet, nutrition, chemotherapy, mental health and disease-specific content for common cancers

These services will follow traditional insurance coverage policies. Refer to your insurance plan coverage for more details.

What services are NOT included in the bundle?

  • Prescription medications
  • Unrelated care services
  • Services by non-MyOncologyHealth network providers

How long does the bundle last?

The program begins upon enrollment with the oncology nurse navigator, who will be your primary point of contact as you navigate the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center (VICC). Important notes:

  • If you have surgery for your cancer, the program will end when your care team considers that the surgery is successful and no further cancer treatment is required.
  • The program will end when your care team considers you to be in remission and/or transitions you into surveillance treatment (close monitoring and evaluation) or survivorship.
  • If you enrolled due to a suspected malignancy, and tests confirm there is no malignancy, the program will end immediately. Likewise, the program will end if you have a diagnosis that requires surveillance-only.
