What is the MyMaternityHealth Bundle?

MyMaternityHealth provides a concierge clinical and service experience for expectant mothers. The program is an innovative approach that coordinates and “bundles” all the services an expectant mother will receive as a part of their pregnancy.

Do I qualify if I am already pregnant or receiving prenatal care?

This bundle is intended for patients at the beginning of their pregnancy. Enrollment windows are dependent upon your employer. Please visit your employer's benefits website to confirm, or contact one of our patient navigators by scheduling an appointment with this link.

How will this new program benefit expectant parents?

This program provides maternity patients with a high-touch care experience through an assigned Vanderbilt Health patient navigator, facilitated access to Vanderbilt Health providers, and an enhanced focus on convenience and communication with low to no out-of-pocket costs.

What services are included in the bundle?

The program is designed to provide coordinated maternity care for the entire length of the pregnancy from the initial prenatal care visit through the delivery and 12 weeks after birth. Services include:

  • Dedicated support from a patient navigator
  • ​​Your choice of Vanderbilt Health midwives and physicians
  • Convenient telehealth services for qualified patients covering select pre- and postnatal appointments
  • Free educational classes, including lactation and childbirth programs
  • On-demand room services during hospital stay

What services are not covered by the bundle?

  • Non-pregnancy care
  • Contraception
  • Prescriptions (Rx)
  • NICU
  • Breast pump
  • Genetic testing through Natera (See the following question for more information.)

Wellness visits for baby are not included in MyMaternityHealth.

Newborn care coverage ends after the newborn’s initial hospital stay. Once the newborn stay concludes, any follow-up care suggested by the clinical team, even if identified during admission, will not be covered under the bundle.

How long does the MyMaternityHealth Bundle last?

Bundle coverage begins at the initial pregnancy visit after enrollment through 12 weeks postpartum.

What happens if I still have postpartum appointments after my bundle ends?

Any postpartum appointments and/or services that occur after the bundle ends will be billed to your traditional health insurance.

What if I experience the loss of my pregnancy?

In the event of pregnancy loss, our program offers bundle coverage for patients who have started their bundle journey prior to experiencing loss. Coverage or related services is amended up to 60 days after experiencing the loss. For more information, please contact our navigators.
 

What happens if my health plan changes mid-bundle?

You must be enrolled in a bundle-eligible health plan. You can move between bundle-eligible health plans mid-bundle, but you cannot transition to an ineligible health plan and stay in the bundle. If you make any changes to your health plan, please contact your patient navigator.
