MyUrologyHealth FAQs

What is the Kidney Stone Treatment Bundle?

MyUrologyHealth takes an innovative approach that coordinates and “bundles” all the services needed to treat kidney stones and prevent them from coming back. You will receive the best care from Vanderbilt’s nationally recognized team, backed by advanced services and technology.

How will this new program benefit kidney stone patients?

This program provides patients with a high-touch care experience through an assigned Vanderbilt Health patient navigator, enhanced focus on convenience and communication, and predictable out-of-pocket costs. This bundle also takes a comprehensive approach to kidney stone treatment, including support to help you prevent future kidney stones.

Is this bundle right for me?

If you have been told within the last six months that you need a stone removal procedure, or if you are interested in discussing treatment options for a previous diagnosis, this bundle can help you. In some cases, a kidney stone can be passed without surgery. In other cases, multiple procedures are required for successful treatment.  With this bundle, you are supported no matter your specific course of care.

What does the Kidney Stone Treatment Bundle cost?

Please visit your employer’s benefits website or speak with a patient navigator to confirm.

Who is eligible?

Please check with your employer to confirm eligibility for the bundle, or contact one of our patient navigators through the Chat box below.

How do I enroll in the bundle?

Eligible employees must enroll with a patient navigator. Start a conversation with a patient navigator in the Chat box below or schedule an appointment at this link.

What happens if my health plan changes mid-bundle?

You must be enrolled in a bundle-eligible health plan. You can move between bundle-eligible health plans mid-bundle, but you cannot transition to an ineligible health plan and stay in the bundle. If you make any changes to your health plan, please contact your patient navigator. Please visit your employer’s benefits website to confirm which health plans qualify, or contact one of our patient navigators through the Chat box below.

How long does the Kidney Stone Treatment Bundle last?

Bundle coverage begins upon bundle enrollment and ends six months after the first procedure. In some cases, it may take multiple procedures to fully resolve the episode. For a patient whose episode is managed without surgery, the bundle ends 100 days after enrollment, and all related services will be covered. In the future, if a patient develops additional kidney stones that need treatment, the patient will need to begin a new bundle process.

What happens if I still have kidney stone-related appointments after my bundle ends?

In the unlikely event that your existing kidney stone has not been resolved by the end of the bundle, additional treatment will be billed to your insurance as it normally would. Bundle coverage is designed to address the vast majority of cases, so we fully expect you to successfully complete treatment within the bundle window.

If you develop additional kidney stones in the future that need treatment, you would need to re-enroll in the bundle by speaking to a patient navigator.
