This program takes an innovative approach to spine surgery that coordinates and “bundles” all of the services needed for a successful procedure and recovery—all while ensuring appropriate care and can result in a faster return to life and work. The experience is streamlined with the help of personal patient navigator, and health care costs are transparent and predictable.
This bundle includes coverage of three common and distinct spine procedures: cervical fusion, lumbar fusion and laminectomy.

How It Works
- You schedule a call with one of our patient navigators, who confirms you are eligible, explains the process and collects required information.
- You are scheduled for a surgical consult to determine if you can clinically benefit from surgery.
- If you are a candidate for surgery, you will continue in your bundle journey. If you aren’t, an alternate course of treatment will be recommended.
- Your care team will arrange your post-operative check-ins to ensure you are on the road to recovery.

Eligibility and enrollment requirements vary by employer, and details of your procedure may impact or change your eligibility. Duration
Bundle coverage begins upon bundle enrollment and from the initial patient consultation with an eligible VUMC surgeon. It ends 6 months post-surgery for cervical and lumbar fusion, and 3 months post-surgery for laminectomy.
