Hand and Upper Extremity Care

Our surgeons have extensive experience performing a wide range of complex surgeries, including microvascular surgery. We are the only specialists in the state trained to perform nerve reconstruction for complex brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries. 

We work together to ensure you receive the comprehensive care you need. Our plastic and orthopaedic surgeons, orthopaedists, occupational therapists and rehabilitation specialists work together to develop a personalized care plan to meet your unique needs.

Our doctors have advanced training to diagnose and treat all hand and upper extremity conditions, from the common to the most complex. This means we can offer you effective care that is appropriate to your needs.

As part of the only Level 1 Trauma Center in Middle Tennessee, we are the only on-call hand surgeons in the region who offer emergency hand care, including replantation of injured digits and hands. The Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Injury Clinic also offers walk-in care Monday – Saturday. This means you have access to care when you need it.

Our researchers are dedicated to developing new and more effective approaches to care. We not only apply the latest research, but also pioneer some of the latest innovations. You may have access to treatments before they are widely available.

We are the official health care provider for the Nashville Predators, Nashville Sounds, Nashville Soccer Club and the Vanderbilt University Commodores. You can expect the same level of care we provide these top athletes.
