Patient and Family Choice Award

The Patient and Family Choice Award recognizes outstanding staff members across Vanderbilt Health for excellence and compassion and for creating an exceptional experience for patients and their families.

Patients and families may nominate a Vanderbilt Health staff member from any Vanderbilt Health hospital. Nominations are then reviewed annually by each hospital’s Patient and Family Advisory Council and one winner is selected from each hospital.

These awards promote best practices as they relate to our Patient Promise:

• Respect your right to privacy
• Work with you to coordinate your care
• Personalize your care with a focus on your values and needs
• Communicate clearly and regularly
• Serve you and your family with kindness and respect.

Winners receive:

• Engraved commemorative plaque
• Monetary award
• Vanderbilt swag bag
• Honored at the Town Hall meeting
• Recognized in a permanent art installation
• Acknowledged on video boards and other facility media
