Dr. Myers was very good at describing the conditions and corrective actions. He was very personable and had genuine concern for my care, and my understanding of the care.

Dr. Myers did spend time with me but it was only to explain that I likely did not have lupus. It was if he wanted to tell me this rather than spend time figuring out if there could be something else (besides lupus) going on. I did not wait months for an appointment just to discuss lupus. My PCP did have a concern about lupus but wanted me evaluated for anything that may be autoimmune related. He only focused on lupus. I voiced what my other providers (PCP, dermatologist) told me and he said they were both wrong and/or do not understand rheumatology or autoimmune diseases. It was almost as if he found it funny that other providers were concerned about the possibility of an autoimmune disease. The only bloodwork that was done was to test for indicators of lupus, nothing for any other type of autoimmune issues. I left the appointment feeling dismissed and disappointed that I wasted my time driving 3 hours for an appointment that yielded absolutely nothing.

Dr. Myers can be rather snide. He insults my questions. Yet, he knows a lot and largely does what I want him to do.
