Dr. Merrell has the best bedside manner! These appointments always make me nervous. He knows that so he gives me the results as soon as he gets in the room. I don't have to continue worrying throughout the rest of the visit, like other doctors had made me do in the past while asking their required questions first. He also expresses concern for me as a person, and always remembers and asks me about the things I am doing outside of just being the patient. I could just go on and on about how wonderful Dr. Merrell is!

It doesn't get any better than Dr. Merrell! He answers all my questions in ways that lets me totally understand what's going on. I brag on him all the time to friends and family!! I am blessed to have him as my doctor!

Dr. Merrell is consistently kind, efficient, knowledgeable and personable. We appreciate his perspective on the scan results and he presents the images with confidence, answering any question we may have. Thankful to be in his care and that of his team.

We really like Dr. Merrell and his nurse Bethany. He takes time to explain what we are seeing in MRI, treatments, and answers all of our questions. Unfortunately we have a serious, complex medical condition, Dr. Merrell is very helpful and we are confident of his judgement. We are jointly working with him and the Duke Brain Tumor clinic.

Dr. Merrell is not only excellent as a health care provider, he is also friendly, engaging, and compassionate.
