Dr Mattingly listens and explains procedures and/or medications thoroughly. He never rushes and always asks if I understand. He is very thorough and clear.

I like the manner in which Dr. Mattingly shared information and observations with me.

Dr. Mattingly was kind, concerned, caring and attentive. He listened to my concerns, was reassuring, explained the problem and the options clearly. He gave me his full attention without rushing. We were impressed that he spoke to me before speaking with my daughter and was respectful and patient centered, when other medical professionals in other practices have been condescending. The care he provided was exemplary and we would highly recommend Dr. Mattingly and the Vanderbilt Eye Institute.
