Shravani Durbhakula MD

Dr. Durbhakula is the best in her field for a number of reasons, not just her expertise in pain management and intervention. She is concerned for her patient and explains the issues and possible interventions/remedies in a way that anyone can understand. She ensures that the patient is fully informed and is integral to the decision process. She is by far the best care provider I have had at Vanderbilt.

Provider, clearly, had not reviewed my pre-visit. Nor had the information I sent through the messaging been passed on to her. A student review the chart and collected my subjective information.Then, she spent very little time with me. And, she only talked about options for care that was not approved by insurance when I, myself, suggested them.

We met with Dr. Durbhakula. She appears to an excellent doctor, up to date on medical science, and knowledgeable. She ensured our understanding on options and risks. My only concern is with the model used for intake. I don't understand how Dr. Durbhakula, in a few minutes of provider handoff, can get the total understanding from a 45-minute intake conversation conducted by a colleague. I get the need for learning but I wanted Dr. Durbhakula to hear our story with all its nuances.
