Charles L. Cox MD

I've been to multiple specialist at Vanderbilt this past year for health reasons. Dr. Cox and his nurse practitioner Trey are the only doctor that seems to care and listen. I was at the point of giving up. Dr. Cox has been a blessing. You can tell he really cares for his patience. I'm very thankful that he is helping me get better.

Dr Cox treats patients with kindness, and helps us try to live our best life and be able to do the most we can. His manner with patients - being able to distract you with a little bit of humor when you are getting an excruciatingly painful shot- means that's it's over a little bit quicker. This ability is rare, and worth its weight in gold to patients in pain. I just worry that he will want to retire eventually. I'm sure all his other patients feel the same.

I love Dr Cox and Trey. They are a good team. Dr Cox is very nice, informative and did a great job on my surgery. I was never worried. My emails are quickly read and responded to.

Dr. Cox did not act as though he was rushing the visit. Took time to examine and listen, followed by explaining what he thought was going on. Then, he provided some options regarding next steps, ultimately asking me what I preferred. He was in agreement with what I preferred.

Excellent experience with Dr. Cox. I didn't feel rushed. He explained why I was having severe arm pain and the best treatment plan. Immediately felt confident that I was going to receive top notch care from this physician.
