What to Bring

There is very little storage in your hospital room, so here are some suggested essentials:

  • photographs/comfort items
  • map or instructions to Vanderbilt
  • calendar
  • bedside clock
  • address book
  • stationery/stamps
  • personal toiletries
  • toothbrush
  • shaving supplies
  • shampoo
  • 2 pairs of pajamas/nightgowns
  • robe & slippers
  • 3 shirts, 3 pants (comfortable and washable)
  • underwear
  • plastic bag for laundry
