The Vanderbilt Stroke Center and Bernard family invite you to a free educational event on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. After a light breakfast, Vanderbilt stroke physicians will present short seminars on various topics including IV-tPA, acute stroke treatments, and stroke prevention. Please see the agenda and registration information below:
7 – 9 a.m. – Stroke Risk Factor Screening: All Stroke Screening slots are full, but there are still spaces at the event. Please indicate on your registration if you would like to be on the wait list for a screening in case spots open up.
8:30 – 9 a.m. – Survivor Story
9 – 9:30 a.m. – ED and pre-ED stroke evaluation and iv tPA, with Jason Thurman, M.D.
9:30 – 10 a.m. – Interventional Acute Stroke Treatments, with J. Mocco, M.D.
10 – 10:30 a.m. – Stroke Prevention, with Howard Kirshner, M.D.
10:30 – 11:15 a.m. – Q & A Session
