The Leapfrog Group. Leapfrog gathers and reports information on hospital quality and patient safety efforts to help patients make informed decisions about where to receive hospital care. The Leapfrog Group is well-known for its Hospital Quality and Safety Survey. As part of this, Leapfrog scores hospitals based on their adherence to 27 health care practices. This score is known as a Safe Practices Score.
